We are devastated by the shooting late Saturday night at Club Q, an LGBTQ+ club in Colorado Springs. These types of events are heartbreaking for our nation, but this incident is especially difficult since this terrible act of violence took place in our community.

As the regional Accountable Entity (RAE) for El Paso County, Colorado Community Health Alliance (CCHA) is committed to meeting the needs of Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) members impacted by the shooting. Colorado Crisis Services hotline: Call 1-844-493-8255 or text "TALK" to 38255 to speak with a trained counselor or professional. Counselors are also available at walk-in locations or online between 4 pm and 12 am.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 or chat online (available 24/7)

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline) offers 24/7 call, text and chat access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing suicidal, substance use, and/or mental health crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. Youth can request a counselor who specifically focuses on the needs of LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults via call, text, and chat.

Diversus Health Lighthouse Walk-in Crisis Center offers a 24/7 walk-in crisis center for all ages, regardless of ability to pay, for crisis services and counseling, as well as around the clock care for mental wellbeing.

Youth-Focused Crisis Services and Mental Health Resources

Below the Surface aims to help teens connect to and get support from the Colorado Crisis Services (CCS) text line. Text TALK to 38255 to speak with a trained counselor 24/7 on a personal, free, confidential line.

I Matter provides up to six free therapy sessions for any Colorado youth 18 years of age or younger, or 21 years of age or younger if receiving special education services. Therapy is provided by licensed clinicians in Colorado. Visit IMatterColorado.org to sign up for free therapy sessions.

Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health services include both mental health and substance use treatment. If you are feeling sad or anxious, drinking too much alcohol or using other drugs, you may need behavioral health services. Responding to Behavioral Health Concerns in El Paso County

OwnPath connects Coloradans with behavioral health providers licensed by the Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) and to search for specific services or use a guided search to identify providers or resources that best meet their needs.

National Alliance on Mental Illness Colorado Springs creates and cultivates a welcoming community of peers who educate, support and advocate for people and families living with mental health conditions. It offers in-person and virtual support groups.

Hard Beauty provides recovery services including coaching, support groups, professional development, peer recovery support and community events.
