National Women's Health Week

May 10–16, 2020

This dedicated week focuses on reminding women and girls to make their health a priority at all times, but even more so during the COVID-19 outbreak. Taking care of yourself is especially important if you are pregnant or have an underlying health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, obesity or heart disease.

Here are some additional tips for healthy living by age. Also, remember the importance of good dental health.

Health during pregnancy

The best thing you can do for your baby is to take care of yourself. Be sure to:

  • Schedule routine prenatal checkups with your doctor during your pregnancy. Keep your appointments even if you are feeling fine.
  • Schedule a prenatal dental checkup and take good care of your teeth with regular brushing/flossing and healthy eating.
